Short version: this is a free planning reference, the figures are published ranges rather than advice about your building, and you use them at your own discretion.

Agreement

These terms govern your use of buildingcapex.com, published by Spencer Gasselin LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801 (“we”, “us”). By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

Informational only — not professional advice

Everything on this site is general information for planning purposes. It is not engineering, architectural, legal, tax, accounting, insurance or investment advice, and it does not create a professional relationship of any kind between you and us.

In particular, nothing on this site is:

  • A reserve study, a property condition assessment, or a substitute for either;

Cost and service-life figures are reported ranges compiled from third-party published sources. They describe commercial building systems in general. They do not describe your building. No guarantee of accuracy or outcome

We compile figures carefully and cite their sources, and we still make no warranty that any figure is accurate, current, complete, or applicable to your property. Sources revise their data, buildings differ, markets move, and errors happen. We do not guarantee any result, saving, budget outcome or project cost.

Regulatory and statutory content

Where we describe requirements — reserve study rules, building performance standards, assessment standards or similar — those requirements vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Any such description reflects our understanding as of the date shown on the page and is subject to change as laws change. Confirm current requirements for your jurisdiction with qualified counsel or the relevant authority before relying on them.

Sponsorship and listings

Sponsored placements and directory listings are labelled where they appear. A listing or sponsorship is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or any representation about the licensing, insurance, competence or performance of the company listed. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to this site is limited to one hundred United States dollars (USD 100).
